Islands in Chula Vista

Joined the app for a free appetizer of chips and salsa. I got the Maui burger with fries it was delicious the wheat bun really didn't do much kinda dry. The meat was delicious topping on the burger were fresh. The atmosphere is tiki style themed, there wasn't a lot of natural sunlight. Service was normal food cook time was quick. Booths a little uncomfortable but suited it's purpose. The margarita that was ordered had a good amount of liquor. Overall I had a good experience would recommend to anyone looking for a good burger joint.

I love Islands! They have a good selection of burgers including options for vegetarians. The service is great. Everyone is so friendly. They have a good selection of beers and some nice mix drinks as well. They are open late too which is great for those late night cravings.

Food was delicious, reminds me of the islands. We arrived with a larger party than any of their tables can seat, the staff was cortious and accommodating.

Was my first time at this Islands and the food was really good! Ordered their special plate of Reds, sliders, french fries and avocado burger and it was SOOO yummy! I almost want to say, out of all my Islands experiences, this one was the best. Sabrina, our waitress, was super sweet and very friendly! She checked in very often and made sure our food was fresh, especially by refreshing my water often and refreshing our bottomless fries. She was too awesome at her job and made this Islands experience even better. Would come here again. The restaurant itself is very room and has great window views. I liked the bright atmosphere and the fact the staff all around consistently checked on all customers, whether their own or not. Great service, good food and a warm environment. Plus, it's Summer and their AC is A1!!

Fantastic hamburgers and atmosphere with a great staff and quick service. We had the Island Burger with fried egg and crispy onions along with chips and guacamole. Everything was very tasty and our waiter was on top of everything. Islanders is located close to multiple shopping venues making it a great place to visit. Highly recommended!

Waitress were prompt and service was on point. I ordered the soup and salad lunch combo. The chicken tortilla soup was good and the salad was very fresh. Overall, nothing to complain about. There was no wait, we were seated right away.

Ate an early dinner 1630. Daughter had chicken tortilla soup she said it was just okay. I had the three mini burgers thought they were great. Friend had a burger and loved it. Server was not really with it. Kinda like we were interrupting her day. Slow to bring water and slower to refill them. After we got our food she never made the stop to check our drinks or see if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. Good food though.

Try the Impossible burger! It's a plant-based burger patty that tastes like meat. Maverick-style burger is my favorite. (It's on the secret menu.)

They have frozen margaritas to go!!! I literally never want margaritas but today I did and was wishing there were places in Eastlake where I could get a frozen one to go. My friends and I decided to drive to bevmo and I happened to saw the sign out front about the frozen margaritas to go. THE GODS HAVE HEARD MY BOOZY PRAYERSAlso Rebecca rocks!! Awesome customer service :D

Great location and Brian was an excellent server. We liked that The food was excellent and the TVs had great content. We also caught this great picture of a family waiting to be seated who were all on their phone. The restaurant is well staffed. There were a variety of people who brought us different things and we were confident we wouldn’t be left wondering where everyone disappeared to as I have in other restaurants. Go to Islands, you will love it.

My go-to in Eastlake when I'm working. I can work on my laptop and enjoy some great food. They even remember my order. I might go here 2 or 3 times a month, but the service never changes. I also love paying fory bill through the app. Thanks for your service!

You can find great quality burgers, the variety of the menu is large , If you like pepper I will strongly recommend the kilauea burger is awesome.If you like onion rings you won't be disappointed by order them.By the way you can take advantage of the lunch specials

Excellent burger even better service

This is the fourth time I've been here. They ask how you want the burger cooked, but it ALWAYS comes out well done. I asked for no mayo on the burger, she told me that burger doesn't come with mayo and the burger came out WITH MAYO!!!!! How??? The waitress was awesome though!

This is an amazing place to go to have diner or just to unwind after a hard days work, I usually go in on my own for a Mango Frozen Margarita and salad to unwind after a long week. They always make me feel welcome and staff are very attentive. I never feel along or uncomfortable in here.

It was a good buffet like any other buffet except it wasn't a buffet and you had to order things like a pro or ask for things like a camper. Anyways it was good food👉 cualquiwr to flapjacks breakfast except it's not flapjacks because it's way to far away from meee house lol

Food is good, price is okay. If you are in the mood for burgers, and sitting to eat, instead of driving, Islands is not a bad choice. Nice ambience, a definite change from sterile plastic benches or bolted down chairs ala fast food places.

I have been going to Islands for years. Seems like it has lost it compared to other burger places. Burger Lounge is much (MUCH) better. The chicken is still good and the fries are great. Give it a C+

I will give them five stars for now. I have not eaten here yet. I'm in the area lots of times its always to early. I have not heard anything bad about this location I have picked up a few customers from here. And also taken employees to work here. So 5 stars for now.

DELICIOUS FOOD! Endless fries to top off the greatness! No wait, middle of the day Thursday, party of 8. Fun atmosphere.

I remember a Blunami Burger that had Blue Cheese on it vs. Blue Cheese dressing--what was that, dressing? Then, you'd think in these times of difficulty, you would find ways to still provide a great eating experience. We had to opt with dine out take home as there was no seating space outside, no problem. When I got home I took one bite of my COLD fries, only to have them feel and taste "Day Old". Stale & Cold Fries. We were happy to pay the $40.00 tab for 2 people, but come on Islands--Dressing on the burger, and Cold Stale Fries. I probably have McD fries under the seat of my car that are fresher. Very disappointed, I send a message through their website and never got a reply. WAY over priced for the quality of food.

I went to Islands today and I hosted a meeting there because it was convenient for all of us. I would like to thank my server Mary for her service. She was very thoughtful and took care of me before mY party even got there. She informed me about the Islands club perks and walk me through downloading the website which helped me receive free chips and salsa for my table. She thoroughly told me about the lunch specials, as well as my party and was prompt with refills, putting in our orders and collecting the check. I just wanted to do this review because it’s not common to have a server like Mary. If you ever come here for lunch, ask for Mary and your overall experience will be upgraded! Tell her Phillip sent you! If you don’t get Mary, I can say that the rest of the staff here is also very friendly and accommodating!

I say in the bar. I had great service and was able to watch the SDSU basketball game. The Malibu burger never lets me down.

Food is pricy if you are just looking for a quick burger. I really enjoyed the service they had here.

I've said this Before and, yes I'll say this Again! Still Thee Best Hamburgers In California & San Diego, in My Midwestern Raised Opinion, Even Better than That In-N-Out! Pkus they Offer, Sweet Potato Fries, which are phenomenal in taste and well worth it! Still the Best in My Opinion and, I've been frequenting this Fine Gourmet Burger Dining Establishment Restaurant now since, 2004, so, I'd say My Opinion carries some weight! But all their other foods are great as well so REGARDLESS of Location, Give them a try ESPECIALLY if Vacationing in San Diego! You will not be sorry so, Enjoy and, Safe Travels!✌❤🇺🇸🙏✈🚁🇺🇸

Ordered tge Chips znd Guacamole. If you don't like Cilantro, don't order this! My Vodka Cranberry was pretty weak but, my friend ordered the Mai tai and it was GREAT! Sat in the bar and waited alittle for our drinks and then forever for our check! If you don't want to wait, don't come here on a Friday night!

Good burgers but poor quality salad. Went to the Eastlake location and my wife’s salad was not good. It was stated on the menu that it was tossed with ranch dressing but the dressing was not provided. The tortilla strips were overly spicy, which the menu did not indicate, such that she couldn’t eat it. Would not order this again. Our server, John, listened to our concerns and comped the salad, and for that, we are grateful. He did not have to do so but understood we did not get what we ordered. Many kudos to John. We were there the early evening of 8/18/19. We still like Islands but will not order from the salad menu again.

My favorite restaurant and my favorite people happy hour is the best great drinks and amazing food. Big portions, quality food, and just an amazing staff. They know my family so well now, the manger has spoken to us many times and even given us a gift card for how often we come. We go at least once a week it's our favorite happy hour !!!! We love our girl Misha, my islands family 💕
